Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information BAMOT Synergy Hub collects when you use this website to request a trademark search, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.

We are BAMOT Synergy Hub (RC 7314506), a company registered in Nigeria, and we are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at bamotsynergyhub@gmail.com.

1. What we collect

When you submit the trademark search form, we collect:

• Your full name
• Your business or brand name — the name you want checked
• The trademark classes you select
• Your email address
• Your WhatsApp number

We also automatically record the date and time of your submission and the status of your request.

2. Why we collect it

• To carry out the search you paid for. We need your brand name and classes to search the Nigerian Trademarks Registry.
• To send you the result. We contact you by email and WhatsApp with the outcome and next steps.
• To take payment. Your email is passed to Paystack so they can process the transaction and issue a receipt.
• To proceed with registration if you choose to continue after a successful search.
• To keep proper business records, as required for tax and accounting.

Our lawful bases under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 are performance of a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in running and keeping records of our business.

3. Who we share it with

We share your data only with the following, and only as far as needed:

• Paystack Payments Limited — receives your email address to process payment. Governed by their own privacy policy.
• Google (Firebase / Cloud Firestore) — stores your submission on secure servers on our behalf.
• Vercel Inc. — hosts this website and processes requests to it.
• The Trademarks, Patents and Designs Registry — receives the details necessary to conduct a search or file a registration.

We do not sell your data, rent it, or share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build marketing profiles.

4. Where your data is stored

Our Firestore database is hosted in the United States, and our website is served from Vercel's global network. This means your information is transferred outside Nigeria. Both providers operate under recognised international data protection standards and contractual safeguards.

5. How long we keep it

We keep search and registration records for seven years from your last transaction, to meet Nigerian tax and record-keeping requirements and to support any later trademark matters. After that they are deleted.

If you submit the form but never pay, we delete that incomplete record after 90 days.

6. Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you may:

• Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
• Ask us to delete your data, where we are not legally required to keep it
• Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
• Ask us to transfer your data to another provider
• Withdraw consent, where consent is the basis we relied on

Email bamotsynergyhub@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

7. Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Access to our database is restricted to a credentialed service account with the minimum permissions necessary, and payment credentials are held as encrypted secrets that our own code cannot print or expose. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.

8. Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this site. Paystack may set cookies necessary to process your payment on their pages, and if you play the embedded video, YouTube may set cookies under Google's privacy policy.

9. Children

This service is for business owners and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes affecting how we use your data will be communicated directly where we can.
